These are a great treat for everyone involved and can be arranged on a date of your choice
for a small group of friends, mums and daughters, hen parties, birthday treats and retirement parties. In fact, you don't need any excuse at all, it's such good fun!
They can be designed for all levels, from
Absolute Beginners Too-Terrified-to-Pick-Up-a-Brush,
to the more experienced, from returners to watercolours, or
those wanting to have a fun day out painting some easy but beautiful watercolours for greetings cards.

(Whether you want to paint landscapes outdoors, (or prefer the comfort of landscape photos indoors,) I can teach you how to paint a simple watercolour landscape in an easy step-by-step way so you needn’t be scared of landscapes any longer.
After this course, you’ll be able apply these steps to any landscape you like.
Here’s what you’ll learn:
· How to simplify what you see (and only use the most important bits) to avoid overwhelm
· How to plan the sequence of your painting: what comes first, next, and last…
· Which techniques are best for the different parts of the landscape
· How to paint simple “wet in wet” skies
· How to paint distant hills and trees
· How to paint simple buildings and structures
· How to make things look 3D with light and shadow effects
· How to plan your colours and mix them with just three tubes
· How to select elements from you landscape to plan a “composition” ( where things will go)
You’ll work from my reference photos, specially selected to include all the aspects above for maximum use of your time.
What’s included:
All the art materials you’ll need: no need to buy or bring anything with you
A detailed multi-page handout covering all the techniques you’ll learn in the workshop
Unlimited hot drinks and biscuits to keep you going!
And not included?
Accommodation ( I can email you a list of possibilities in the area)
Lunch. Please bring along a packed lunch: there are no shops on the village to grab a sandwich from.
